Swansea Town 1 Cardiff City 1 (7 September 1912)
The club’s first ever official match.
Swansea Town 1 Blackburn Rovers 0: FA Cup 1st Round (1915)
Swansea’s first giant-killing. As professional football struggled to sustain itself in an atmosphere of increasing public and press hostility brought about by the tensions of wartime, the 1914-1915 season produced one bright spot for the Swans. The pleasure from the heroic victory against league champions Blackburn had to sustain the fans through nearly four more years of conflict….
Swansea Town v Bolton Wanderers (27th March 1926)
The Swans’ first FA Cup Semi-Final, played at White Hart Lane. After a tremendous run including defeat of Arsenal at the Vetch, the Swans froze at the final hurdle before Wembley.
Swansea Town 0 Newcastle United 1: FA Cup 5th Round (1952)
Bitter taste of defeat for Town, as the fervour of more than 27,000 fans affected the players at the Vetch, when a bit more composure might have seen off the cup holders.

I seem to remember that game ending in a 4-4 draw. But it was a long time ago.
Rushden and Diamonds 0-0 in the Petty era also deserves a special mention as the football was a sideshow as the fans concentrated their attentions on the Director’s box all game. Rushden’s manager, Brian Talbot, I think said he had never been involved in a game like it throughout his career.
Swansea’s first ever Wembley visit, and we won a trophy too of course…. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994_Football_League_Trophy_Final
