Swansea City players presented prize to competition winner:
On Thursday 8th November we went to Gellionnen School in Clydach to present a special prize to Daniel Russell. Daniel sent in the winning entry for our “Why I Love Swansea City” competition for primary school children across the District.
The prize was a signed football – that is a brand new ball signed by all the current members of the Swans’ squad! In addition, there was a Swans’ cap donated by the club and a copy of the Supporters Trust centenary book, “Swansea ’til I Die”. The winning entry and those of all the the runners-up are reproduced in the book, so Daniel is also now a published author!
Best of all for the kids at YGG Gellionnen was who presented the prizes – we were very lucky to have Luke Moore and Jonathan de Guzman on hand to present Daniel with his loot, and answer questions from the asembled schoolchildren.
The event was a great success, and the whole school was justly proud of Daniel’s achievement in writing the best story in the whole City and County of Swansea.
