Swansea City Supporters’ Trust
The trust was formed in 2001 and has the following aims:
- To maintain a professional Football League club in Swansea
- To bring the football club closer to its local community
- To have an elected supporters representative on the Board of Swansea City Football Club
- To raise sufficient funds to buy a stake in the club, in pursuance of the aims above
It played a key role in saving the club during the dark days of the Tony Petty ownership. It now own nearly 20% of the club and has a representative on the club’s board. You can read an account of the Trust’s history here.
